D.K.World-Photography — Refund, Returns & Delivery Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Our commitment to customers
D.K.World-Photography aims to provide high-quality photographic and creative artwork and a positive customer experience.
We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your rights regarding cancellations, returns, refunds, faulty or damaged products and delivery.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
2. Standard online purchases
Our online shop currently offers:
Mounted prints
Framed prints
Greeting-card sets
Mini-print sets
A2 children's posters
For standard products purchased online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, subject to the legal exceptions described below. GOV.UK
If you exercise your cancellation right, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods. We will refund eligible payments within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or earlier where permitted by law. GOV.UK
3. How to cancel an order
If you wish to cancel an eligible order, please contact us at:
dkworld-photography@outlook.com
Please provide:
Your name
Order number
The product(s) you wish to return
Your intention to cancel the order
You do not have to give a reason for cancellation where the statutory cancellation right applies.
We will provide information about how and where to return the product.
4. Returning products
Returned products should be sent back within the applicable cancellation period and should be packaged appropriately to help prevent damage during return transit.
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession.
You may handle the goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality, in the same way you would reasonably be able to examine them in a shop.
Where goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and their value has been reduced as a result, the law may allow a deduction from the refund. GOV.UK
5. Refunds
Where a statutory cancellation applies, we will refund the applicable purchase price and the cost of standard delivery.
If you selected a more expensive delivery option, we are generally only required to refund the cost of the standard delivery option. GOV.UK
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
6. Personalised and genuinely custom-made products
Some products or commissioned artwork may be created specifically to a customer's individual requirements.
Where goods are genuinely made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, the normal statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply. GOV.UK
Where this applies, we will make the position clear to the customer before the order or commission is accepted.
This exception does not automatically apply simply because a standard product is produced after an order is placed.
7. Commissioned artwork
D.K.World-Photography accepts selected commissions.
Commissioned work is agreed individually and may involve specific requirements such as:
image selection
size
format
colour treatment
editing
artistic style
personalisation
other agreed specifications
Before production begins, we will confirm the commission requirements and agreed price.
Where a commission is genuinely personalised or made to the customer's specifications, the statutory cancellation exception may apply as described above.
Any cancellation or refund arrangements that apply to a particular commission will be explained before the commission is accepted.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products
If your product arrives damaged, faulty, defective, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of UK consumer law, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We may ask you to provide photographs of the product and packaging to help us understand what has happened and, where appropriate, to assist with a courier or production claim.
Please retain the original packaging where reasonably possible until the matter has been resolved.
We will provide the remedy required by law, which may include a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and your legal rights. GOV.UK
We will not require you to give up your statutory rights simply because damage or a fault was not reported within a particular number of hours or days.
9. Products damaged after delivery
We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, inappropriate handling, incorrect mounting or framing, or improper storage after the product has been delivered.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a fault existed when the goods were supplied.
10. Colour and screen differences
We make every reasonable effort to represent our artwork accurately on the website.
However, colours may appear slightly different depending on:
monitor settings
phone or tablet displays
screen brightness
display technology
individual device settings
Minor differences caused by display technology do not necessarily indicate a fault with the physical product.
Delivery Policy
11. Production and delivery
Many D.K.World-Photography products are produced or prepared after an order is placed.
The estimated production and delivery period will be communicated on the website, product information or at checkout where applicable.
We aim to deliver orders as quickly as reasonably possible.
Where a specific delivery period is agreed with you, that agreed period will apply.
If we are unable to fulfil an order within the agreed period, we will contact you and explain the available options.
12. Delivery charges
Delivery charges are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
The total amount payable, including applicable delivery charges, will be shown before the order is placed.
13. Tracking and dispatch
Where tracking is available, tracking information will normally be provided after dispatch.
Delivery is carried out using the delivery service selected or arranged by D.K.World-Photography.
14. Incorrect delivery information
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address.
If an order is returned because an incorrect address was supplied, please contact us so that we can discuss the available options.
Where additional delivery costs arise because incorrect information was supplied by the customer, we may ask the customer to cover those additional costs where permitted by law.
This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
15. Delayed or lost deliveries
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us.
We will investigate the delivery with the relevant delivery service and, where appropriate, the print or production provider.
We will work with you to resolve the issue and provide any remedy required by law.
16. Events outside our reasonable control
Occasionally, delivery or production may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, major transport disruption, industrial action or significant technical problems.
Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and minimise the delay.
Nothing in this section removes your statutory consumer rights.
17. Professional printing
Our photographic prints are produced using professional photographic printing services and selected professional materials.
We aim to provide high-quality:
photographic papers
professional inks
accurate colour reproduction
sharp detail
consistent finishing
long-lasting results
Specific materials and production methods may vary depending on the product selected.
18. Contact
For cancellations, returns, refunds, damaged products, delivery queries or other customer-service matters, please contact:

Email: dkworld-photography@outlook.com
We will aim to respond as soon as reasonably possible.
Why I prefer this version
It protects you without trying to remove rights that the law gives your customers.
The biggest improvement is that it distinguishes three completely different situations:
Normal shop purchase
→ customer may have the 14-day online cancellation right. GOV.UK
Faulty/damaged/not-as-described product
→ separate statutory consumer rights apply. GOV.UK
Genuinely personalised/custom-made commission
→ the normal change-of-mind cancellation exception may apply. GOV.UK
That is far safer than your current blanket “all sales final” policy.
One thing I'd check before you publish
Your website needs to make the relevant delivery timeframe and cancellation information available before the customer completes the order, and online sellers must provide confirmation of the contract that the customer can save. GOV.UK
Since you've already tested your checkout successfully, we should make that part of the final website check rather than assuming the Terms page alone solves it.
For now, don't replace your old policy yet. We now have a working replacement for the second page. Once we've finished the Copyright & Licensing page and your Privacy Policy, we'll do one final cross-check of all four and then you can replace them together.
So is that the terms and condions or eveeything together
That last one I gave you is the second page only — the Refund, Returns & Delivery Policy.
So we're building separate pages, not putting everything together.
We now have:
Page 1 — Website & Shop Terms & Conditions ✅
The version I gave you earlier beginning:
D.K.World-Photography — Website & Shop Terms & Conditions
This covers how your website and shop operate, orders, prices, commissions, general terms, etc.
Page 2 — Refund, Returns & Delivery Policy ✅
The version I just gave you.
This covers cancellations, returns, refunds, damaged/faulty products and delivery.
Still to do:
Page 3 — Legal Notice, Copyright & Licensing
This is where we'll take your existing copyright notice and add your 1-year, 3-year and 5-year licensing system.
Page 4 — Privacy Policy
We'll either review your existing one or create one if you don't currently have one.
