From Sacriston to Darlington: A New Direction for 2027
11/3/20262 min read

The Sacriston craft fair on 31 October 2026 brought a quieter day than we had hoped for. Visitor numbers were low, making it a challenging event, but we were pleased that our mini prints and greetings cards still found new homes. Every sale matters, especially on a day when there are fewer opportunities to meet visitors and share our work.
There was also a curious theme to the day: trains seemed to be everywhere. With so many train-related details and conversations, it left us wondering whether Sacriston might just be a train area! Even on a slower fair day, these small moments add character to an event and give us something to remember.
A look at the collections coming in 2027
While we reflect on the fair, preparations are already under way for the year ahead. We have started showing our new collections for 2027 on Facebook, with designs planned across spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each season brings its own colours, atmosphere and inspiration, giving customers plenty to look forward to throughout the year.
There is more to come, too. New Asian-inspired collections are on the way, alongside fresh landscape collections. We are excited to develop these ranges and share them as they take shape. Following the previews on Facebook is a good way to keep up with new releases and see what is coming next.
A new home for our work in Darlington
As we look towards 2027, we are planning a significant change in how we meet customers. Rather than travelling to craft fairs across the North East as often, our aim is to establish one base in Darlington. For one week each month, we plan to be in a shop, presenting a changing collection of our work in a more consistent setting.
Visitors can expect to browse mounted and framed prints, mini prints and greetings cards. We will also be introducing a brand-new range of posters for children, adding a fresh option for younger art lovers and families. Bringing these pieces together in one place will make it easier to explore the different collections and discover something to take home.
Looking ahead with purpose
This move represents a major shift from the craft fair circuit, not a change in our commitment to creating and sharing original designs. Focusing on a Darlington base will give us a clearer point of connection with customers and allow us to present our work throughout the year. We will still be developing seasonal designs and introducing new ranges, but with a more settled location at the heart of our plans.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at Sacriston, supported our work, or chose a mini print or greetings card. We appreciate every customer and every conversation. We are looking forward to sharing more collection previews and details of our Darlington plans as 2027 approaches.
